Councils wishing to take advantage of the effective communication system offered by Trolley Tracker™ can use 1800 641 497 free-call (except from mobile phones) number to inform trolley collectors about the location of trolleys in out of the way places. Council rangers often find trolleys in parks or bush land and if they wish to have the trolley collected quickly they can report the location and have the information quickly given to the person who can collect the trolley.

Councils are offered use of the number so they can deal with reports of wayward trolleys without involving Council staff or equipment. In NSW the single 1800 number (1800 641 497) is a key part of the Code of Practice, developed by the Australian Retail Traders Association with the Local Government & Shires Association and the Department of Local Government.
